This place is beautiful! The fresh cold spring water mixes with the warm ocean water to create a wonderful swimming and snorkeling experience. Two of us went kayaking while two others went snorkeling together in the lagoon. There are fish and coral to see while exploring the wondrous lagoon.
This is my first time in Savai’i. My daughter found this place online and told me that we had to stay here. It was a located a few minutes from the ferry and close to the market. It did not disappoint. We checked in to the rooms, checked out some snorkeling gear and kayak, and spent the rest of the evening in the lagoon.
After showering in the hot water (first hot shower during our stay in Samoa!), we had a delicious dinner in their restaurant. We also got to meet the owner Lusia herself! She’s really sweet.
We will stay here next time we come to Savai’i!
PS. If you’re lucky you might see a sea turtle.
The worse hotel at Savai’i. It’s only “cheap” Because the food it’s really expensive and not that nice. The only good thing that this place have is the deck and a natural pool. You can find better places in Savai’i and cheaper most of these places includes breakfast and Dinner.
Here we post some photos of the real lusia’s lagoon chalets.
Firstly, let me say that the staff are all truly lovely. I cannot comment on the garden accommodation but the shared fales are REALLY basic and need a lot of work to be nice. As to the shared bathroom, not nice at all, if you can call it that. The single sink is outside, the toilets and showers are in a tin hut with no where to even hang your towel. I really wanted to stay over the water but wouldn't again. Unless you are very strapped for cash stay in the ones with their own bathroom they looked quite nice indeed.
The location is great, we could jump straight into the water from the cottage, saw a turtle swimming near our over water cottage. Very friendly staff.
Cons: rooms were not cleaned, we were there for 2 nights. We had dinner one night but the food tasted and smelled a bit suspicious, we couldn't eat much. The price of everything is too high for the service you get.
